The shooting of Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Jailer, along with Director Nelson Dilipkumar was set afloat today. While Rajini is to join the sets from 15th or 22nd August, other actors have begun shooting today. Kannada star Shivarajkumar and Ramya Krishnan have confirmed their acting in the film. However, the rest of the cast is still in speculations.
The latest buzz is that Tamannah, who is almost 40 years younger to Rajinikanth, is in talks to co-star with the actor in the film. Before this, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was in talks for the film, to play the female lead. While this speculation is still making rounds, this new news is also making rounds. On the other hand, Sivakarthikeyan is reportedly playing Rajinikanth’s younger version, and he is acting with Priyanka Mohan. The cast updates have still not been announced officially, and are just speculations.
The music is composed by Aniruddh with Vijay Kartik Kannan as the cinematographer. The film will be shot extensively at Ramoji Filmcity in Hyderabad and Rajini is said to be playing the titular role of a jailer. Much like other Nelson films, this one too is expected to be a quirky action thriller, though in an altogether unique space.
Tamannah is currently working on Bhola Shankar, and has already completed, Gurthunda Seethakalam, Babli Bouncer, Bole Chudiyan and Plan A Plan B. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was last seen in Fanney Khan, is awaiting the release of Ponniyin Selvan I.
