Audiences have been on the edge regarding Moon Knight‘s story for the past two episodes since Isaac’s Marc Spector was seemingly shot and killed by Hawke’s Harrow in Ammit’s tomb, resulting in his landing in an ominous psychiatric hospital with Steven. Moon Knight episode 5 revealed this to be a form of limbo as the Egyptian goddess Taweret sailed with Marc and Steven through the Duat, the Egyptian afterlife, to determine whether they will be permitted into the paradise of the Field of Reeds by weighing their hearts on a scale. In order to balance the scales, the two looked back through many of Marc’s hidden memories, including his younger brother drowning, his abusive mother and the creation of Steven’s identity as a way for him to escape this abuse.

With Moon Knight episode 5 ending after Steven inadvertently sacrifices himself to save Marc and the latter subsequently getting into the Field of Reeds instead of back on Earth, like he had asked of Taweret. Given Harrow continues to be a threat to the world and the Moon Knight finale trailer teases a hard-hitting fight between the two atop a pyramid, many are sure to find themselves intrigued as to just how Marc will escape the paradise and who he may encounter before coming back to save the day. Only time will tell when Moon Knight episode 6 premieres on Disney+ on Wednesday.
