MADRAS HC SUMMONS DHANUSH
Kathiresan and his wife Meenakshi alleged that Dhanush is their son. According to a Times of India story, Kathiresan moved the court and claimed that Dhanush had submitted forged documents of the paternity test. Reportedly, he also sought a police inquiry. Kathiresan has also filed an appeal asking the court to quash the order which was passed in 2020, dismissing the case. Back then, the court had stated that there were no supporting documents to prove that the paternity documents were forged.
ABOUT THE CASE
Kollywood superstar Dhanush, born as Venkatesh Prabhu Kasthuri Raja, had argued that he was born to Tamil filmmaker Kasthuri Raja and his wife Vijayalakshmi. However, Kathiresan and his wife Meenakshi filed a case, giving rise to Dhanush parentage controversy.
The court had earlier suggested a DNA test to resolve the issue, but Dhanush and his lawyers had declined the suggestion. Then, Dhanush was instructed by the court to undergo a medical examination to verify his identification marks. However, the results of the same proved to be inconclusive.
A concrete judgement is awaited in the case now.
