Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan-starrer Acharya opened to lukewarm response at the box office. Now, the film is struggling to mint money across the globe. In three days, Acharya collected Rs 73.1 crore worldwide and is nearing the end of its theatrical run. Reportedly, the film’s theatrical rights were valued at Rs 140 crore. Looking at the collection, Acharya is heading towards a disaster.
CHIRANJEEVI’S ACHARYA DECLINES FURTHER
Director Koratala Siva’s Acharya hit the theatres on April 29. The film saw Ram Charan playing an extended cameo. While there were huge expectations surrounding the film, Acharya seems to have disappointed everyone.
According to the official Twitter handle of Andhra Box office, Acharya earned Rs 73.1 crore worldwide in three days. At this rate, the film will not breakeven and end up as a huge disappointment.

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote that the film did not witness growth on Sunday (May 1). He wrote, “#Acharya WW Box Office NO signs of growth even on a Sunday. Day 1 – Rs 51.07 cr. Day 2 – Rs 12.43 cr. Day 3 – Rs 7.95 cr. Total – Rs 71.45 cr (sic).”
