Ira Khan is all heart for Alia Bhatt and her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Sharing a poster from the film, Ira penned a long note and wrote, “You can develop a fierce will to change the wrong around you because of the trauma you experienced, making you able to ride big waves and overcome many obstacles… even then you don’t manage to legalize prostitution. You can have money, intelligence, skill, connections, drive, passion and great timing… you can want it REALLY BADLY and try your genuine hardest but eradicating world hunger, stopping climate change, eliminating discrimination, achieving gender equality, systematic paradigm change…anything even slightly big that involves more than just you (because you is the only thing you have some control over)… the world is much bigger than us (sic).”

She continued and wrote that Gangubai took the win and how. Her note further read, “You did manage to stop one builder/organization from tearing down the homes of thousands. Gangubai took the win. She felt genuine gratitude, pride and joy from what she did manage to achieve. Are you able to appreciate your wins? (sic)”

Besides Alia Bhatt, Gangubai Kathiawadi also stars Ajay Devgn, Parth Samthaan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. The story is about a woman, Ganga, who travels from Gujarat to Mumbai with her partner, but gets sold off and pushed into prostitution. She then becomes a madame named Gangubai in the redlight area of Kamathipura. The film follows her rise to power and fighting one challenge after another. Gangubai Kathiawadi is produced by Jayantilal Gada.

When not watching films, Ira makes sure she spends ample time with father and Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. The Laal Singh Chaddha actor decided to do makeup for his daughter Ira, and oh boy! it turned out pretty fine. The update was shared by Ira, who wrote, “Guess who did my make-up? It’s interesting when your father walks up to you and claims he can do your make-up better than you can… and he turns out to be right. Who needs YouTube tutorials?! (sic).”

Aamir Khan will be seen next in director Advait Chauhan’s Laal Singh Chaddha. It is the official Hindi remake of the iconic Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. Besides Aamir Khan, the film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh and Manav VJ. The film is set to release on August 11.
